How does OPENHEAT apparel work?

Our apparel uses integrated heating elements powered by any compatible Type-C power bank to provide three adjustable levels of warmth, kind of like a wearable heating pad. Simply plug in your power bank, push the power button, and begin feeling the heat in seconds. 

Are OPENHEAT products safe to use?

Yes, our apparel features advanced safety measures and precise temperature controls to ensure reliable and secure use. For added safety, make sure you are using a UL-certified power bank to power your OPENHEAT apparel. Learn more here

Can I wash OPENHEAT apparel?

Yes, all OPENHEAT apparel is machine washable once the power bank is removed. We recommend washing in a mesh laundry bag. Please refer to the product care instructions for more details.

How do I choose the right size?

You can refer to the sizing chart on the product page. Please also consider the fit/style when choosing sizes. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page for more details.

What are the heating levels?

By pressing the “O” button, you can choose from three levels: High, Medium, and Low. The Turbo mode (“H” button) provides rapid, intense warmth for 5 minutes then automatically switches back to your selected heat level.

What is the heating technology used in OPENHEAT products?

OPENHEAT uses advanced carbon fiber heating elements that distribute warmth evenly across multiple heating zones, allowing for optimal comfort.

What is Turbo mode, and how does it work?

Turbo mode is designed to provide rapid, intense warmth for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the system automatically switches to your selected heat level for continued warmth.

Does OPENHEAT apparel work in very cold weather?

Yes! OPENHEAT apparel is designed to keep you warm even in extremely cold conditions, especially when layered with other cold-weather gear.

Can I iron or dry clean my OPENHEAT vest?

We don’t recommend ironing and dry cleaning as it may damage the heating elements. Instead, follow the care instructions for machine washing and allow your apparel to air dry.

Power Bank & Battery Usage

What type of power bank is required?

Any Type-C power bank is compatible. For optimal performance, we recommend a 9V 10,000mAh power bank for long-lasting heat.

Is the power bank included with the apparel?

Power banks are not included to allow you to use your existing power bank or purchase one that works best for you.

How do I connect the power bank?

Locate the USB-C cable in the battery pocket, plug it into your power bank, and press the “O” button to activate heating.

What happens if the power bank runs out of battery during use?

Simply replace or recharge the power bank to resume heating.

About Shipping & Returns

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship within the United States. Please check our shipping policy for more details.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are processed within 2 business days. Your order will typically arrive within 5-7 business days after processing. If you have any questions or concerns about your order, please contact our customer service team at human@openheat.com.

How can I track my order?

After your order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment via the shipping carrier’s website.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for unworn and unused items in original packaging. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page for full details.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

We provide a prepaid return label, but a flat return shipping fee of $8 will be deducted from the refund.

Can I exchange my item instead of returning it?

Yes! We offer exchanges for items of equal value. If you wish to exchange an item, please contact our customer service team at human@openheat.com.

How will I receive my refund?

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect your return. If you used a gift card, your refund will be issued as a store credit.

Can I return opened or used products?

To be eligible for a return, the product must be in new, unused condition with all original packaging and tags attached. If the product is used or opened, it may not be eligible for a return.

What if I received the wrong item?

This shouldn’t happen, but if you receive an incorrect item, please contact our customer service team at human@openheat.com. We will send you a prepaid return label for the incorrect item and ship the correct one to you at no additional cost.

Warranty

How long is the warranty period?

Our standard warranty period is 1 year from the date of purchase for all products. The warranty covers defects of the heating elements and control buttons. If you have any product issues, please contact our customer service team at human@openheat.com.

How do I file a warranty claim?

To file a warranty claim, please contact our customer support team via email at human@openheat.com. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the defective product in the email.

What should I do if I receive a defective product?

If you receive a defective product, please reach out to our customer service team at human@openheat.com. We will initiate a warranty claim and arrange for a replacement or repair.

Can I repair my product myself under warranty?

We recommend not attempting any repairs yourself, as this could void the warranty. If your product is defective, please contact us at human@openheat.com, and we will help with a repair or replacement.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

Yes, we occasionally offer special promotions, discounts, and seasonal sales. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay updated on current offers.

How do I apply a discount code?

During checkout, you will see a field to enter your discount or promo code. Simply enter the code and click "Apply" to see the discount reflected in your total.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

Yes, we offer bulk pricing for businesses, organizations, or large orders. Please contact our sales team at human@openheat.com for more information or to request a quote.

How do I cancel my order?

Orders can only be canceled within a short time frame after they are placed. Please contact our customer service team immediately at human@openheat.com to request a cancellation. We will try to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee cancellation if the order is already processed.

Do you have retail stores?

As of now, OPENHEAT does not have physical retail stores. We are an online-based brand, and all of our products are only available for purchase directly through our website, openheat.com.
